Have you lost your job, or are you looking for (a different) job? Are you interested in pursuing a course of study? Or have you graduated and want to explore your options?

The Groningen Noord-Drenthe Job Center is here to help you. Together with our career coaches, you’ll discover your strengths and what you need to move forward. 

Don't have the right qualifications? No problem. We offer opportunities such as on-the-job training, career transition programs, and more. Want to advance in your current role but not sure how? We'd be happy to help you take the next step. 

We are not a staffing agency, but we do offer personalized (career) advice and reliable information. We listen to your needs and either help you right away or connect you with our partners who specialize in employment, training, and professional development.

This is how we help you take a step toward finding a job, pursuing an education, or finding another path that suits you. Our services are completely free. So feel free to ask us a question or stop by!

Would you rather come visit?

Would you rather walk into a location and speak with someone in person right away? The first location of Werkcentrum Groningen Noord-Drenthe is at Harm Buiterplein 1 in Groningen. You’re welcome to visitMonday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. In 2026, we’ll be opening even more locations where you can walk right in.

Events on work and education

We regularly organize events and meetings on work and education, such as themed sessions, walk-in consultation hours, and career guidance. We hold these at locations in various municipalities. One example is the weekly walk-in consultation hour “Werkpraat” at the library in Stadskanaal and in Hoogezand. You can find more information about Werkpraat and other events in our calendar.
